Midwifes who have an important role in 'Mother and Child Health Services' in our country; is not included as a specialist area of forensic midwifery within the specialties of forensic sciences. We can see that studies of forensic midwifery are only implemented by forensic obstetric gynaecology and forensic nursing. Purpose of this article is informing about content and characteristic of forensic midwifery that can’t find an application field in our country, attracting attention to forensic midwifery and stating that forensic midwifery can contribute to assessment of forensic apparitions.
