The effect of global warming emerge from result of mankind 's individual activities has became to be felt progressively in our world; to use energy resources efficiently, produce alternative energy resources, ensure water resources and choose eco-friendly materials in the construction industry have been crucial not only reducing the cost but also increasing in the level of public health. In parallel to this, green concept came to the fore and the green building philosophy has became dominate in all public and private building which are built recently in order to save energy, ensure resource efficiency, emit less CO2 to the environment, sustain green area. The aim of this article is to put forth the example of green buildgs in Turkish health sector by mentioning the history of green building philosophy existing for years, adressing the prosperities of green buildings and relations with health. When the benefits of green buildings taken into consideration, the quality and quantity of green buildings should be increased and the number of hospital has green building certificate should be increased in the following years.
